LEAF CATCHER
This is one of my most intricate embroideries in this series and took well over 50 hours to complete. It is about autumn, the changing color of leaves, and of piling leaves in a giant pile as a kid only to jump into them.
I loved the crunchy sound of drying, crinkled leaves. I still love to search for that big beautiful, colorful leaf that’s just fallen off a tree, flexible enough to press in a book.
