THE GOAT CHATEAU

We came upon an old chateau from the 1300s by accident. We were driving around somewhat aimlessly looking for a good spot to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and make some art.

At one point we turned down what appeared to be an old dirt road only to find out it was a long driveway. When we looked through the rearview mirror, a small car with an older woman was driving behind us.

We pulled to the side and let her pass. She got out and through our mix of French and English discovered her sister had attended art school in Paris. She graciously allowed us to stay and make some art. There were goats on site as well. They made me smile.
